As part of AbbVie’s Business Technology Solutions (BTS) team, R&D Global Therapeutics is dedicated to building and deploying scalable,business-driven Artificial Intelligence (AI) Applications. We are seeking an innovative and highly skilled AI Senior Business Systems Consultant, to lead the strategy and execution of automation initiatives, with an emphasis on AI safety solutions.

In this role, you willmanagethe deploymentofbothAI and traditional products and solutions. You will work closely with data scientists, engineers, and business stakeholders toidentify, select, and consult on theappropriate AItechnologies to be deployed. Proactively seeks out strategic business opportunities with high-level business unit executives. Provide advice,assistanceand leadership in any area associated with the planning, procurement, provision, delivery, management,maintenance,and effective business use of information systems for a business area. Analyze business processes; elicit,analyze,and document business requirements;identifyalternative solutions, assessfeasibility,and make recommendations typicallyseekingto exploit andleveragenew or existing technology components. Translate business requirements into functional requirements; perform data and process modeling; manage change; and lead, coordinate/perform testing, verification, and validation ofrequirements.

Responsibilities:

• Work with senior business unit clients to understand specific business processes, business drivers, and business strategy acrossmultiple functions; Personally, or through indirect teammanagement identify, prioritize and communicate resulting needs and opportunities for business process improvement that can be enabled via technology; Use consulting skills and expertise to translate business requirements to BTS and functional requirements to the domain.
• Investigate and understand capabilities of existing systems and technologies already in use across the business area and similar and interconnected business areas in AbbVie and investigate available technologies applied to this business area in industry; identify information required to support the business strategy and lead the development of appropriate information management strategies and developing them as an integrated part of the business strategy.
• Define needed human and technology capabilities contributing to and helping to build necessary training.Mentor, Identify, communicate, and actively participate in opportunities to improve process and/or technology. Thesemay include business process outsourcing, application development, or adopting business processmanagement (BPM) practices.
• Accountable for the creation and further refinement of project requirements and for BTO Demand initiation and coordination. Anticipate project/programrisks, definemitigation plans, and work with teams to implement. Working with business partners and BTOmanagement, responsible for resolving changes to scope, issues, and risks that will affectmultiple and/or large-scale projects/programs.
• Simultaneously consider objectives ofmultiple functions.Measure performance to ensure the project is progressing as compared to original plan and budget. Accountable for the accuracy of the fit of the proposed business process improvements and the technical solution to the business need and the information upon which the business justification and prioritization decisions aremade. Understand and execute AbbVie's vision, goals and strategies and use this understanding to broker services.
• As an individual contributor adeptly navigate cross-functional and highlymatrixed teams through indirect authority. Has defined authority and responsibility for a significant area of work, including technical, financial, and quality aspects, and delegate assignments acrossmultiple and/or large-scale projects/programs. Accountable for actions and decisions taken by self and project teams.
• Anticipate and respond to current and emerging business needs and evaluate alternative IT solutions using standard information systemsmethodologies and best practices. Determine necessary resources to ensure programand business needs are addressed through proactive prioritymanagement with business leaders.Manage,motivate, andmentor cross-functional and enterprise project teams. Work with governance bodies to ensure alignment.
• Build collaborative relationships and effectively interact frequently with business and/or technology senior leaders. Act as a liaison and business process expert to IT organizations to ensure successful implementation. Serve as a source of information to the service organizations on the business drivers, processes, and organization structure and dynamics ofmultiple business areas. Subjectmatter expert in their technology and/or functional domain.
• Interact well with diverse groups within function andmaintain strong working relationships with internal and external collaborators. Consistently demonstrate AbbVie's Ways of Working and Leadership Attributes including an enterprisemindset and people leadership. Serve as amentor to develop and recognize talent. Ability to communicate problems in terms that are understandable to BTS Leadership and end users at all levels.

Qualifications

Required:

• Bachelor's Degree with 8 years of experience;Master's Degree with 7 years of experience; PhD with 3 years of experience.
• 3+ years of experience as a Business Analyst, or similar role in a technical environment or product management.
• Strong leadership and team management abilities, with experience leading cross-functional teams.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• Proven track record of managing the development and launch of successful software products.
• Knowledge of software development best practices.
• Proficiency in Agile methodologies and tools (e.g., JIRA, Confluence).
• Excellent organizational and time management skills, with the ability to prioritize tasks effectively.

Preferred:

• Understanding of Large Language Models, Generative AI, traditional AI and how to apply them and select for best fit.
• Experience working in the Life Sciences industry.
• Experience withGxPvalidated systems.
• Technical Writing Skills
