Job summary

Westinghouse Electric Company LLC is seeking an AI Security Manager to lead an international team securing AI platforms, data architecture, and AI-enabled solutions. You will establish security standards and governance across the AI lifecycle and collaborate with IT, cybersecurity, and business leaders to ensure scalable, secure AI services.

You will report to the Director, AI Data Infrastructure and work remotely, guiding risk assessments, security controls, and AI security strategy aligned

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in information security, computer science, data science, industrial engineering, statistics or equivalent.
• Master's Degree in Business Administration preferred.
• 10+ years of experience in business, operations or consultation services with progression and complexity.
• Professional Certifications: CISSP, GCIH, CSSP, and CISM helpful.
• Technical knowledge of data management, data architecture, cloud platforms/infrastructure, and AI/ML architecture (including MLOps) to ensure scalable digital solutions.

About the role:

As an AI Security Manager, you will lead an international team responsible for securing Westinghouse's AI platforms, AI-enabled digital solutions, data architecture, data fabric, and core data services. You will establish secure AI architecture standards and governance practices across the AI lifecycle. It will also establish risk assessment processes and operational controls, covering data pipelines, model development, integration patterns, inference services, monitoring, and cloud infrastructure. The AI Security Manager will work with Digital & Innovation, Information Technology, cybersecurity, product, and business leaders. This collaboration will ensure AI solutions are scalable, secure, reliable, and aligned with enterprise priorities, including Asset Management, Work Management, and Business Process Optimization.

You will report to the Director, AI Data Infrastructure and work remotely.

Key Responsibilities:

Assume responsibility for the security of the AI platforms, systems and required tooling to ensure Westinghouse AI solutions.

We will achieve this responsibility through:

• Design end-to-end AI/ML security architectures (data, models, inference layers)
• Lead threat modeling and risk assessments for AI systems
• Implement AI security controls, monitoring, and guardrails
• Build and operationalize AI security controls
• Secure AI pipelines, models, and data
• Lead teams across engineering and risk
• Partner with CISOs and business leaders on AI security strategy
• Align AI security controls with industry frameworks (e.g., NIST, ISO/IEC 27001) and organizational risk tolerance
• Train teams on secure AI practices, including secure coding, MLOps hygiene, and cloud security
• Monitor and respond to AI-driven threats using advanced analytics and cloud-native security tools
• Develop AI-powered security solutions to detect cyber threats, including AI-powered malware and automated social engineering
• Establish and maintain strategic partnerships with leaders in AI to increase capability of the Westinghouse digital products and use for staff augmentation
• Promote research and development that aligns with the Westinghouse strategy and digital roadmaps to address technology gaps to achieve the desired end state
• Forecast new technology needs based on an evolving technology landscape and promoting to leadership steering committees to obtain approval to integrate into the Westinghouse digital services

Qualifications:

• B.S. degree in information security, computer science, data science, industrial engineering, statistics or equivalent
• We prefer a Master's Degree in Business Administration.
• 10+ years of experience in business, operations or consultation services with progression and complexity
• Professional Certifications: CISSP, GCIH, CSSP, and CISM helpful
• Technical knowledge of data management, data architecture, cloud platforms/infrastructure, and AI/ML architecture (including MLOps) to ensure scalable digital solutions

We are committed to transparency and equity in all of our people practices. The base salary range for this position, which is dependent upon experience, qualifications and skills, is estimated to be $130,400 to $163,000 per year.
