Job summary

McKinsey is seeking a Security Manager for its AI Security function in the United States. You will lead security design, threat modeling, and reviews across AI products and platforms, partnering with engineering, product, and risk teams to embed robust controls and guidance.

You will translate evolving AI risks into practical safeguards, drive secure adoption, and mentor teams on security best practices while advancing McKinsey's AI initiatives responsibly.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of experience in information security, product security, cloud security, or a comparable technical security role; experience securing AI/ML or data platforms is strongly preferred.
• Strong background in secure SDLC, DevSecOps, and cloud architectures (AWS/Azure/GCP), microservices, serverless, APIs, containers, databases, disaster recovery, observability; apply Threat Modeling methodologies to AI use cases.
• Demonstrated understanding of AI technologies, GenAI and agentic-AI security risks and mitigations, incl. prompt injection, data leakage and exfiltration, unsafe tool execution, model and supply-chain risks.

Responsibilities

• Lead and support AI security work across design and implementation of controls for AI products and platforms.
• Conduct threat modeling, security reviews for AI products, and support red-team evaluations to ensure secure adoption.
• Define and implement controls for agent authentication, authorization, and monitoring; develop reusable guidance and training for engineering and product teams.
