Job summary

The University of Miami Health System is seeking an AI Security Engineer Specialist to join the Security Operations Center in Miami. The role emphasizes designing, deploying, and optimizing AI-driven workflows to strengthen cybersecurity operations.

You will drive AI prompts, automate threat detection, and integrate tools like Microsoft Copilot and Security Copilot, while building dashboards with Splunk and Sentinel to improve incident response.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in CS, info security, engineering or related field required; Master’s preferred.
• Minimum 5 years of cybersecurity and AI integration experience.
• Certifications in Security or AI tools preferred.
• Ability to learn new procedures and adapt to changing priorities.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Leverage AI tools to streamline security operations and automate incident response.
• Develop and maintain AI prompts and workflows for security use cases.
• Integrate AI tools into daily SOC activities to boost analyst productivity.
• Design and manage AI-based agents for real-time alert enrichment and log analysis.
• Collaborate with SOC, engineers and GRC to embed AI into security infra.
• Analyze data from multiple sources using AI-assisted tools to detect threats.
• Create dashboards and reports reflecting AI-enhanced threat intelligence insights.
• Monitor effectiveness of AI-driven security processes and refine prompts and automation.
• Develop docs, runbooks, and SOPs for AI-integrated workflows.
• Participate in on-call rotations and provide advanced analysis during incidents.
• Stay current with emerging AI technologies and cybersecurity trends.
