Job summary

Swingtech is seeking an AI Security Engineer to design, assess, and enhance cybersecurity, privacy, and AI-specific security controls for DOL AI systems. You will secure AI-enabled applications, data pipelines, models, and cloud services to meet government authorization and production release requirements.

You’ll apply Zero Trust, encryption, and secure software practices while supporting FISMA, RMF, and ATO activities. Three days on-site in Washington, DC, are expected.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in cybersecurity, computer science, information assurance, engineering, information systems, or a related field.
• At least five years of experience in cybersecurity engineering, cloud security, application security, DevSecOps, RMF/ATO, or comparable security roles.
• Experience with Federal cybersecurity frameworks (FISMA, NIST SP 800-53/171, FedRAMP, RMF/ATO).
• Experience securing cloud apps, APIs, data platforms, CI/CD pipelines, identity services, and containerized or cloud-native systems.

Responsibilities

• Design and implement AI security architecture, threat models, control matrices, and remediation plans.
• Validate security controls across AI apps, LLMs, data pipelines, and CI/CD pipelines.
• Conduct AI-specific security testing (prompt injection, data poisoning, jailbreaking, etc.).
• Apply Zero Trust, least privilege, encryption, secrets management, and secure configurations.
• Support RMF/ATO activities and evidence generation for government systems.
• Collaborate with engineering to embed security in development and production.
