Job summary

SpaceX is seeking an AI Security Software Engineer for the Starshield program in Hawthorne, CA. You will design and build security-critical agents, leverage AI to detect and fix issues, and ensure secure AI integrations across Starshield systems.

Preferred candidates have security engineering background and experience with production software across the stack, containerized deployments, CI pipelines, and strong communication skills to coordinate with multiple teams.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in computer science or related STEM field or 2+ years of security software development experience.
• Experience with Python, C++, or Golang.
• Security-focused software development experience desired.

Responsibilities

• Design and build security-critical agents for Starshield that automate network and systems defense.
• Leverage AI to discover and fix security issues in Starshield infrastructure and systems.
• Provide guidance and testing of AI integrations into Starshield systems.
• Identify areas for security improvements through automation and AI.
• Maintain production systems and improve security posture across teams.
