Job summary

WRITER is seeking a staff detection and response engineer to protect our AI infrastructure. You will build detection systems against AI-specific threats and scale automated responses for rapid remediation.

Based in the US, you will collaborate with AI Security, Cloud Infrastructure, and Software Security Engineering teams to deploy defense-in-depth strategies. This role can be located in San Francisco or Seattle, with a strong on-call rotation.

Qualifications

• 3–5+ years in security operations or incident response in production environments.
• Strong programming in Python, KQL, SPL, or similar.
• Experience with SIEM platforms and forensic investigation techniques.
• Proactive threat hunting and securing AI/ML infrastructure.
• Ability to coordinate incident response across multiple teams.

Responsibilities

• Design and implement AI-specific threat detections across distributed infra.
• Build automated response playbooks to contain threats.
• Lead incident response with Cloud, AppSec, AI Security teams.
• Hunt threats across GPU clusters and training infra.
• Develop detection-as-code with version control and dashboards.
• Collaborate as operational security partner for all teams.
• Maintain 24/7 on-call for AI security incidents.
