Job summary

Mphasis is seeking an AI Software Development Engineer in Test (AI-SDET) to join its quality engineering team. The candidate will bridge QA with AI by designing self-healing test automation and validating LLMs, integrating AI agents into CI/CD. Location: SV.

Ideal candidates have 6–8 years in software quality engineering, test automation and AI/ML development, with Python/Java/Scala expertise and experience with Docker, RESTful APIs, and Playwright.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in computer science or related field.
• Proficiency in Python/Java/Scala.
• Proficiency with modern tools - Playwright.
• Experience with LLM APIs (e.g. Claude, OpenAI) and agent frameworks (e.g. LangChain).
• Cloud AI platforms and pipelines including Azure OpenAI and AWS OpenAI.

Responsibilities

• Architect and maintain enterprise-grade, scalable automation frameworks.
• Build intelligent test agents, automated prompt-engineering validators, and self-healing test execution scripts.
• Design evaluation frameworks for hallucination detection, bias and safety guardrails.
• Design AI-driven data generation to simulate production-like test scenarios.
• Validate RAG architectures, embedding quality, retrieval accuracy, and vector search relevance.
• Develop scalable automation scripts for UI, API, and backend validation.
• Collaborate with MLOps teams to build continuous testing pipelines.
