Job summary

Fluidstack in New York is seeking a forecasting lead to build and maintain site-level capex/opex forecasts for its data center projects. You will own the monthly forecast cycle, gather inputs, explain variances, and ensure your bridge to the latest version is clean.

You will model scenarios rapidly when deals or design changes move the numbers, and you will automate data flows from source systems so updates happen in hours, not weeks.

Qualifications

• You've built capex and opex forecasts for large projects or infrastructure portfolios.
• Your variance analysis finds causes, not just differences.
• You're expert in Excel and dangerous in SQL.
• You turn a vague what-if into a modeled answer same-day.
• Your models are auditable: sources cited, assumptions labeled.
• Bonus: Construction draw schedules. Pigment or Anaplan. Power cost modeling. Accounting fluency.

Responsibilities

• Build and maintain the site-level forecasts: capex curves, opex ramps, and cash timing per building.
• Own the monthly forecast cycle: inputs gathered, variances explained, and the bridge to the last version clean.
• Model scenarios fast when a deal, delay, or design change moves the numbers.
• Automate the pipeline from source systems so the forecast updates in hours, not weeks.
