Job summary

OpenAI, Inc. is seeking an experienced Regulatory Compliance Program Manager to translate regulatory requirements into clear responsibilities, processes, and evidenced controls for AI safety, security, and content moderation.

You will collaborate with Legal and product teams to scope work, maintain narratives, and lead external assessments for your portfolio. You will own delivery, explain tradeoffs, and adjust recommendations as evidence evolves.

Qualifications

• Translate regulatory requirements into scoped programs, operating processes, control and evidence responsibilities.
• Lead preparation and delivery for external compliance assessments, coordinating teams and tracking gaps.
• Develop evidence-backed recommendations with Legal, Product, Security, and Privacy teams.
• Maintain control narratives and traceable evidence for regulatory requests, reporting, audits, and assessments.
• Improve or automate operational workflows for content and privacy compliance.
• Communicate uncertainty clearly and obtain decisions from authorized owners for legal interpretation.

Responsibilities

• Lead an agreed portfolio of AI safety/security and content-compliance work, including programs related to major regulations.
• Provide escalation paths and milestones with clear ownership.
• Simplify and automate repetitive compliance tasks and verify outcomes.
