The role involves advising on AI governance, vendor diligence, and regulatory compliance while partnering with leadership and Technology teams to oversee enterprise-wide AI tool adoption and governance.

Qualifications

• Significant experience advising on AI, machine learning, and technology governance.
• Strong background in privacy, cybersecurity, data governance, and regulatory compliance.
• Experience handling issues related to attorney-client privilege and professional responsibility.
• Ability to collaborate across legal, technology, and business functions.
• Excellent communication skills and sound business judgement.

Responsibilities

• Serve as the primary legal advisor on evaluation, implementation, and governance of AI tools, applications, and vendors.
• Partner with firm leadership and IT, Information Security, Procurement, Marketing, Knowledge Management and other stakeholders on AI initiatives from inception through deployment.
• Advise on legal issues involving privacy, cybersecurity, IP, confidentiality, attorney-client privilege, and professional responsibility.
• Support AI vendor diligence, contracting, and risk management, including data rights, model training, retention, and cross-border data considerations.
• Develop governance frameworks, policies, training programs, and best practices for responsible AI adoption.
• Monitor evolving AI regulations and translate complex requirements into practical guidance for the firm.
• Help balance innovation and efficiency with legal, regulatory, operational, and reputational risk management.
