BNY Mellon in Pittsburgh seeks a Senior Specialist, AI Risk to join the Technology Risk Management (TRM) team. This individual contributor role focuses on hands-on execution to build and sustain the second line of defense for AI risk, including analysis, governance, and stakeholder collaboration.

The ideal candidate brings foundational AI risk knowledge and strong analytical judgment to translate findings into auditable outputs for governance and audits.

Qualifications

• 2+ years of experience in technology risk, cyber risk, data risk, model risk, AI risk, automation, or a related analytical or technical role.
• Foundational knowledge of AI technologies, AI risks, controls, and evolving threat environment.
• Experience performing technical analysis, research, issue management, or metrics analysis.
• Ability to translate complex risk findings into auditable outputs for governance and audits.
• Hands-on experience building or configuring AI-enabled solutions or automation is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Perform AI risk analysis across capabilities, platforms, and technologies.
• Conduct forward-looking research on AI risk, controls, and regulatory expectations.
• Support risk identification, assessment, and monitoring across the AI risk portfolio.
• Prepare materials to support AI risk governance and stakeholder discussions.
• Analyze risk metric breaches and track remediation paths.
