Job summary

Bloomberg’s CTO Office seeks a Technical Strategist for AI Research in New York. You will contribute to the ML Strategy team, shape research directions, and collaborate with academic and industry partners to advance Bloomberg’s research agenda.

You will design workflows to make reproducible research easier to review, publish, and communicate externally, working with researchers, leadership, Communications, Legal, and other teams.

Qualifications

• PhD in AI, machine learning, computer science, statistics, optimization, data science, or related field.
• 5+ years of experience post-PhD in industry, academia, or a research-oriented organization.
• Experience with rigorous research review and publication processes.

Responsibilities

• Contribute to Bloomberg’s research agenda through original research, collaboration with academic and industry partners, and engagement with the broader ML community.
• Strengthen AI research ecosystems by improving processes, norms, and infrastructure for rigorous, reproducible research.
• Track advances in ML and relate them to Bloomberg’s products, platforms, and clients.
• Represent Bloomberg’s AI research perspective in external settings, including conferences and collaborations.
