Job summary

ONE is seeking an AI Research Intern to research and prototype foundation models on OnePay’s data, focusing on transformer-based and graph-based architectures. You will run experiments, evaluate results, and turn promising findings into a working prototype while collaborating with product, engineering, and analytics teams.

Qualifications

• Deep learning fundamentals including backpropagation, attention, embeddings, optimization, and training dynamics.
• Final-year master's or PhD student expected to graduate Fall 2027 or Spring 2028.
• Strong problem solving and clear communication.
• Available to work in New York City office 3–4 days a week.
• Prior internship in research, ML, or software engineering; project portfolio.
• Experience with PyTorch or equivalent framework.
• Familiarity with transformer architectures and graph foundation models (GNNs).
• Coursework or projects involving LLMs or Generative AI.
• Research output: publications, workshop papers, or open-source contributions.

Responsibilities

• Research, design, and train foundation models on OnePay’s data.
