Job summary

Tata Consultancy Services is seeking an AI Product Owner in Charlotte to lead product strategy and backlog for an AI Agentic Platform within insurance operations.

You will own epics and stories, translate complex insurance requirements into actionable features, and collaborate with architects and SMEs to ensure compliant, value-driven outcomes.

Qualifications

  • Deep understanding of insurance processes, regulatory requirements, underwriting workflows, claims lifecycle, policy administration, reinsurance operations, and data models.
  • Backlog management, user stories, sprint planning, acceptance criteria, release planning, and roadmap prioritization.
  • Define product vision, business value, and feature priorities aligned with AI Platform goals.
  • Experience with AI/GenAI, Agentic AI, LLMs or intelligent automation in insurance.

  • Experience with enterprise data models, APIs, cloud platforms (AWS/Azure/GCP), and modern insurance tech ecosystems.
  • Effective collaboration across business, technology, and executive leadership; strong stakeholder communication.
  • Familiarity with regulatory compliance, data privacy, audit, and risk management in insurance.
  • MBA or advanced degree; CSPO or similar certifications.

Responsibilities

  • Serve as the Product Owner for one or more AI Agentic Platform workstreams, aligning business needs with high‑value capabilities.
  • Own and maintain the product backlog—epics, user stories, acceptance criteria, and feature specs reflecting domain knowledge.
  • Translate underwriting, claims, policy administration, reinsurance, and actuarial needs into platform features and AI use cases.
  • Partner with Enterprise Architects, AI/ML Leads, Engineering, and SMEs to ensure compliant solutions.
  • Drive sprint planning, backlog grooming, story refinement, sprint reviews, and retrospectives with agile teams.
  • Define, monitor, and report product KPIs, value metrics, and platform adoption across units.
  • Identify and validate Agentic AI use cases and ensure alignment with priorities and compliance.
  • Support UAT planning, defect triage, and stakeholder sign-off for releases.
  • Facilitate workshops and demos to gather input and drive adoption readiness.
  • Maintain roadmap alignment with delivery timelines and platform evolution strategy.
  • Ensure features comply with governance, security, audit, and risk frameworks.

  • Partner closely with Enterprise Architects, Solution Architects, AI/ML Leads, Engineering Teams, and Business SMEs to ensure technical solutions align with insurance business objectives and regulatory requirements.
  • Drive sprint planning, backlog grooming, story refinement, sprint reviews, and retrospectives in collaboration with Agile delivery teams.
  • Define, monitor, and report on product KPIs, business value metrics, and platform adoption outcomes across insurance business units.
  • Work with business stakeholders to identify, prioritize, and validate Agentic AI use cases — ensuring alignment with business priorities, feasibility assessments, compliance requirements, and technology capabilities.
  • Support UAT (User Acceptance Testing) planning, validation activities, defect triage, and stakeholder sign-off for platform releases.
  • Facilitate stakeholder workshops, requirements sessions, and demos to gather insurance business input, validate platform capabilities, and drive adoption readiness.
  • Maintain product roadmap alignment with program delivery timelines, business release schedules, and Agentic AI platform evolution strategy.
  • Ensure all platform features comply with enterprise governance, security, audit, regulatory, and risk management frameworks applicable within the insurance industry
  • Support organizational change management, training readiness, and business adoption initiatives to drive successful deployment and sustained use of Agentic AI capabilities across insurance operations.

Salary Range- $120,000-$140,000 a year
