Compensation: $200,000 - $225,000 base + bonus
Join an established, privately held financial technology company undertaking a major AI-first transformation across its customer journey and core operating processes.
The company has already moved beyond experimentation, with production AI capabilities delivering meaningful results. It is now expanding a dedicated AI product function to redesign additional customer-facing and operational workflows across the business.
The Mission
The company is reimagining how complex financial workflows operate by combining AI agents, machine learning, proprietary data, business rules, automation, and human judgment.
The objective is not simply to make existing processes faster. The company wants to redesign historically manual and model-driven workflows from first principles around what modern AI can now accomplish.
The Role
You will lead an individual AI transformation workstream within a cross-functional delivery pod.
You will embed with subject-matter experts to understand how existing processes operate, identify decision points and exceptions, and determine where AI can fundamentally improve the customer and employee experience.
This is not a traditional backlog-management or coordination role. You will be expected to structure ambiguous problems, make clear product decisions, remain close to technical execution, and take accountability for measurable production outcomes.
What You'll Do
- Lead AI product initiatives from initial discovery and process design through production deployment and iteration.
- Conduct detailed discovery with operational leaders and subject-matter experts to understand workflows, decisions, exceptions, and pain points.
- Reimagine customer-facing and operational processes from an AI-first perspective.
- Translate complex business requirements into clear product designs, process maps, technical requirements, and buildable specifications.
- Determine how AI agents, predictive models, business rules, automation, and human oversight should work together.
- Lead cross-functional delivery pods consisting of product, data science, engineering, operations, and functional experts.
- Partner with data scientists to define evaluation frameworks, golden datasets, quality-control processes, and production-readiness thresholds.
- Work closely with specialist AI engineering partners through architecture reviews, build cycles, testing, and acceptance.
- Establish measurable success criteria across customer experience, decision quality, cycle time, accuracy, conversion, and operational efficiency.
What You'll Bring
- Meaningful recent experience designing and shipping production AI-enabled products.
- Evidence of taking ambiguous problems from discovery through solution design, implementation, launch, and iteration.
- Experience owning customer-facing products or business-critical operational workflows.
- Strong written product skills, including requirements, design briefs, process maps, technical specifications, and success metrics.
- Enough technical depth to engage credibly with AI engineers and data scientists and challenge proposed solutions when necessary.
- Familiarity with LLM-enabled products, AI agents, machine learning, predictive modeling, APIs, data systems, or intelligent workflow automation.
- Strong quantitative judgment and experience defining measurable product and model outcomes.
- A high-agency operating style and willingness to remain close to product design and execution.
- The ability to lead cross-functional teams without relying solely on formal authority.
- A record of meaningful ownership and sustained execution within previous organizations.
- Experience in fintech, lending, payments, banking, mortgage, insurance, or another regulated and data-intensive environment is strongly preferred.
- A quantitative or technical academic background in computer science, engineering, mathematics, statistics, economics, or a related discipline is preferred.
Why Join?
- Join an AI transformation that already has production deployments, executive sponsorship, and a defined roadmap.
- Own meaningful zero-to-one products tied directly to customer, revenue, risk, and operational outcomes.
- Reimagine complex financial workflows rather than building isolated AI features or internal productivity tools.
- Work directly with senior executives, data scientists, AI engineers, operational leaders, and domain experts.
- Take substantially more end-to-end ownership than is typically available within a large product organization.
- Build deep applied AI product expertise inside a small, highly visible team.
