Job summary

Lakeshore Management in Skokie, IL is offering an AI Transformation Intern role to assist with practical AI products, automations, and internal tools across the firm.

You will work with the AI Transformation Director, use OpenAI Codex for coding tasks, manage tickets, document processes, and help rollout AI solutions.

This hands-on internship covers full-stack development, cloud deployments in Microsoft Azure, APIs, GitHub, and secure deployment workflows.

Qualifications

• Pursuing or recently completing a degree in computer science, software engineering, information systems, data analytics, AI, cybersecurity, or related fields.
• Basic knowledge of programming languages (Python, SQL, JavaScript or TypeScript).
• Interest in AI-assisted development tools such as OpenAI Codex.
• Interest in learning full-stack application and cloud development.
• Familiarity with GitHub, Microsoft Azure, APIs, databases, or web app development is helpful.
• Strong organization, communication, documentation and problem-solving skills.
• Ability to manage multiple assignments and provide clear status updates.
• Ability to explain technical concepts to nontechnical staff.
• Responsible when handling confidential company information.

Responsibilities

• AI and Full Stack Product Development: develop internal AI applications, dashboards, automations, reports, and prototypes.
• Assist with front-end and back-end development for internal business applications.
• Translate business requirements into technical tasks, features and tickets.
• Write, review, test and troubleshoot code; participate in code reviews.
• Test new products and document bugs, results and improvements.
• Cloud Development and System Architecture: gain experience with Microsoft Azure deployments.
• Document system architecture, data flows, deployment processes.
• APIs Credentials and Access Control: learn authentication, error handling, and secure credential management.
• GitHub and Automated Deployment: manage branches, PRs, and CI workflows; use GitHub Actions.
• Ticket and Project Management: organize tickets, track status, and provide progress updates.
• Process Improvement and Automation: document workflows and identify AI opportunities.
• Testing Training and Adoption: assist with training materials and user adoption activities.
