Job summary

Clix is seeking an experienced SEO/AEO specialist to lead AI-driven optimization across client accounts. You will conduct technical audits, on-page and local SEO, content strategy, and link-building while integrating AI workflows to scale operations and outcomes.

You will guide AI-generated outputs, validate results, and collaborate with teammates to enhance our AI-powered SEO platform. Strong client communication is required to manage expectations and drive impact.

Qualifications

• 3–5+ years of SEO experience across local, technical, national, franchise, or e‑commerce.
• Experience engineering AI-powered workflows in a professional SEO context.
• Proficiency with SEMrush, Ahrefs, Screaming Frog, GA4, Google Search Console, and Google Tag Manager.
• Bachelor's degree in Marketing, Communications, Computer Science, or equivalent experience.
• St. Louis, MO or Little Rock, AR candidates only.

Responsibilities

• Execute SEO across assigned accounts with fundamentals: audits, on-page optimization, local SEO, content strategy, link building, site architecture, Core Web Vitals, schema markup, crawl management, and indexation.
• Lead and execute AEO strategy, optimizing AI Overviews, LLM citation, and generative engine visibility.
• Build and deploy AI workflows that scale repeatable SEO work with high quality.
• Apply SEO expertise to guide, validate, and improve AI-generated outputs.
• Collaborate with teammates to learn, improve, and expand our systems and workflows.
• Consult on strategy, performance, and recommendations with clear client goals.
