HP IQ is seeking a Software Quality Assurance Intern in San Francisco to design, build, and deploy AI-powered QA tools that automate testing, triage, and quality analysis for developer productivity. You will work with a multidisciplinary team to explore agentic AI applications and contribute to real-world workflows.

You will gain experience across testing, ML integration, and software engineering practices while delivering production-quality features and sharing learnings with the team.

Qualifications

• Solid understanding of coding fundamentals and comfort with at least one programming language.
• Ability to learn new languages and frameworks as needed.
• Strong communication skills to explain your reasoning clearly.

Responsibilities

• Design, build, and iterate on AI-powered tools and workflows that improve engineering productivity.
• Develop intelligent systems that help automate software development, testing, debugging, or quality assurance processes.
• Prototype and evaluate new approaches for applying large language models to engineering challenges.
• Collaborate with engineers, ML engineers, PMs, designers, and other partners to deliver solutions.
• Participate in design discussions, code reviews, and collaborative problem solving.
• Build, test, and iterate on production-quality software and share learnings with the team.
