REQ is seeking an Account Manager to join our Public Relations team in Washington, DC. You will manage client relationships, lead execution of strategic communications programs, and contribute to account growth and team development.

As a trusted partner and team leader, you will oversee program performance, provide strategic recommendations, and mentor junior staff while driving high‑impact media campaigns and executive communications.

Qualifications

• 6–10 years of experience in public relations or communications, ideally within a technology‑focused agency.
• Proven ability to manage accounts and deliver strategic, results‑driven communications programs.
• Strong media relations experience with demonstrated success securing impactful coverage.
• Excellent writing, editing, and presentation skills, including executive‑level communications.
• Strong knowledge of AI applications in PR/marketing; ability to develop AI‑driven reports, processes and capabilities.

Responsibilities

• Client Leadership & Relationships: Serve as a primary day‑to‑day client contact, build trust, and communicate with senior stakeholders.
• Account Ownership & Project Management: Manage multiple accounts, guiding workflows and program execution to meet timelines.
• Strategy, Media & Execution Excellence: Own media strategy, secure high‑impact coverage, and develop press materials and thought leadership.
• Team Leadership & Internal Influence: Mentor junior team members and foster a collaborative, high‑performance environment.
• Business Growth & Financial Acumen: Identify growth opportunities, contribute to proposals, and help manage budgets.
