Job summary

Pathfinder Inspections & Field Services is seeking an experienced AI Application Developer to build, improve, and maintain internal and customer-facing applications that support field and administrative operations. You will leverage AI-assisted tooling, including Claude, to turn business needs into working software.

The ideal candidate has real software development experience and can take a project from idea through development, deployment, and ongoing support.

Qualifications

Experience building and deploying real software using AI-assisted coding tools.
Working knowledge of at least one modern development stack, such as TypeScript/React, Python/FastAPI, or .NET.
Hands-on experience deploying and operating applications in Microsoft Azure.
Working knowledge of Microsoft Entra ID.
Experience with Git-based workflows, code review, and CI/CD.
Strong understanding of application security and secure development practices.
Strong problem-solving and troubleshooting skills.
Strong written and verbal communication skills.
Ability to work independently and turn a business need into a working technology solution.

Responsibilities

Build and maintain web applications and APIs using AI-assisted development tools.
Work with Pathfinder leadership and employees to turn business needs into practical technology solutions.
Take projects from initial idea and prototype through testing, deployment, maintenance, and support.
Build and deploy applications and backend services using Microsoft Azure.
Work with Azure SQL, Cosmos DB, Storage, and other appropriate data solutions.
Configure and maintain authentication and authorization through Microsoft Entra ID.
Secure application credentials and sensitive information using Azure Key Vault.
Build and maintain Git-based workflows and CI/CD pipelines.
Review AI-generated code for accuracy, security, performance, cost, and maintainability.
Troubleshoot application issues and provide support after deployment.
Maintain clear documentation for applications, development decisions, and processes.
Research AI and technology tools that could improve Pathfinder operations.
Protect confidential company, employee, customer, and operational information.
