Job summary

Visionist, Inc. is seeking an AI Platform Lead to direct multiple engineering teams building an enterprise LLM-powered platform supporting analysts, engineers, and operators across mission domains.

You will define requirements with stakeholders, guide implementation strategies, and drive adoption of AI capabilities in a secure, scalable environment. The role requires active Top Secret/SI clearance with polygraph and a track record delivering production-grade AI platforms aligned with mission

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in a technical discipline; 4 years of experience may substitute.
• 12 years of experience in software development.
• Experience leading diverse engineering teams.
• Experience engaging with customers and end users to gather requirements and drive adoption.
• Hands-on experience building production applications servicing hundreds to thousands of users.
• Experience designing agentic AI workflows or multi-agent systems.
• Experience leveraging AI coding assistants for code generation and automation.

Responsibilities

• Solicit requirements and architect an enterprise agentic platform designed to power intelligent, autonomous workflows.
• Work directly with stakeholders, engineers, and cyber analysts to understand operational workflows and identify high-impact automation opportunities.
• Evaluate AI models, deployment architectures, and infrastructure options to determine the optimal balance of capability, performance, and cost.
• Advise customers on AI investment strategies and resource allocation to maximize mission impact.
• Stay current on emerging AI technologies and best practices, advocating for adoption where appropriate.
• Lead and coordinate multiple engineering teams by defining requirements and tracking execution against objectives.
