Job summary

Johnson & Johnson seeks a Senior Principal Platform Engineer to lead the AI Next Frontier Workbench evolution from initial release to enterprise scale. You will shape technical strategy, define architecture, and set standards for reusable services, agent orchestration, and governed AI execution across brands and therapeutic areas.

You will collaborate with product and business leadership to translate the vision into a scalable engineering ecosystem, enabling end-to-end workflows from market

Qualifications

• 10+ years of software engineering experience delivering enterprise-scale digital products, platforms, and distributed systems.
• 7+ years serving as a lead architect, principal engineer, or engineering lead responsible for platform architecture and technical strategy.
• 2+ years developing and using AI agents and orchestration platforms.
• Demonstrated experience leading large-scale platform modernization initiatives and establishing enterprise engineering standards.

Responsibilities

• Define and evolve the technical architecture for the AINF Workbench platform.
• Establish the engineering strategy for shared service integration and runtime capabilities.
• Build foundational frameworks, SDKs, APIs, and developer platforms for Workbench.
• Lead development of reusable agent frameworks, skills definition, and agent integration strategies.
• Establish enterprise standards for interoperability across AI capabilities.
• Create a shared catalog of AI services and tools for reuse.
• Partner with AI Core teams on governed agent execution, observability, security, and platform operations.
• Define engineering quality metrics and build an organization to support long-term AINF roadmap.
