Job summary

Mortenson is seeking an AI Platform Engineer to provide advanced support in developing solutions within our applications architecture, collaborating with groups to design, document, test, and implement solutions.

Location: Minneapolis, MN (hybrid). The base pay range is $114,500 - $171,800 with eligibility for Mortenson's incentive plan. The role offers a range of benefits including medical, dental, 401k with match, PTO, life and disability insurance, and tuition assistance.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in business or computer science or equivalent combination of education, experience, and expertise.
• Minimum 5 years' hands-on experience developing software solutions in a team environment.
• Experience with common software development practices and tools, and awareness of industry trends.
• Experience with project management methodologies, providing estimates, status updates, and raising issues.
• Experience leading teams through complex technical problems.
• Experience developing with Oracle Forms, Oracle EBS R12 customization, and Oracle workflow development.
• Experience developing with Java, .NET, and other modern development languages.
• Excellent written and verbal English communication skills.
• Positive attitude and professional customer service skills.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Knowledge of Unix/Linux
• Expert level experience writing PL/SQL for Oracle EBS or other applications in Oracle or SQL.
• Thorough understanding of the software development lifecycle, including experience developing or enhancing documentation and testing methods.
• Active listening skills and effective communication, including openness to diverse input and feedback.

Responsibilities

• Define, develop, and document software requirements, objectives, deliverables, and specifications.
• Collaborate with internal business partners and ITS to define detailed requirements and system interfaces.
• Develop complex software programming applications and modify/maintain existing software with limited supervision.
• Lead discussions with analysts, developers, and designers in conceptualizing and developing new software programs and customizations.
• Research emerging application development software products, languages, and standards to support procurement and development efforts.
• Create proofs of concept and needs assessment for business needs.
• Provide technical expertise to team members and mentor junior team members.
• Build relationships with those of diverse backgrounds and organizational levels.
• Perform all other duties as assigned.
