Job summary

Fireworks AI in California is seeking a Member of Technical Staff to own surfaces that enable the intelligent router, cost observability, and FireConnect integrations, delivering production-ready features for engineers.

You will work across frontend (React/TypeScript) and backend (Python, Go), collaborating with Infra, AI research, Growth, Data, and Design to ship end-to-end solutions with high velocity.

Qualifications

• 3+ years as a software engineer shipping user-facing products.
• Strong full-stack skills across frontend, backend, APIs, and databases.
• Track record shipping developer-facing products: APIs, dashboards, consoles, CLIs, or developer tools.
• Genuine end-to-end ownership and ability to own ambiguous problems.
• Strong product instincts focusing on developer experience.
• High-velocity delivery with pragmatic trade-offs.

Responsibilities

• Own product features end-to-end across Nexus and the Fireworks platform, including intelligent routing, FireConnect integrations, cost observability, enterprise controls, and developer surfaces.
• Build the routing and migration layer that scores request difficulty in real time and routes tasks to open models.
• Extend APIs so Nexus drops into existing tools with minimal friction and improve caching/infra paths.
• Work across frontend (React/TypeScript) and backend (Python, Go) to deliver production-quality surfaces.
• Build for evolving models, serving paths, consumption models, and enterprise controls.
• Collaborate with Infrastructure, Applied Research, Growth, Data, and Design to turn platform capability into products developers love.
• Instrument everything and derive insights to remove friction.
