Job summary

Orange EV is seeking an AI Platform Engineer in Kansas City, MO to design and operate the environments where internal AI apps and dashboards run, manage data pipelines, and own CI/CD across repositories and production releases.

You will define guardrails for AI-assisted development, implement robust access controls, and run the team's toolchain including coding agents and evaluation harnesses. 5+ years in platform/DevOps roles are expected.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in CS, IS, or equivalent experience.
• Minimum 5+ years in platform, DevOps, data, or infra engineering.
• Hands-on Azure experience across identity, networking, and hosting.
• Production CI/CD experience with GitHub Actions, Azure DevOps, or equivalent.
• Strong SQL, plus Python or PowerShell for automation.
• Experience building data pipelines used by others.
• Experience running AI coding agents in controlled workflows.

Responsibilities

• Design and operate environments where AI apps and dashboards run; manage hosting, networking, identity, secrets, and monitoring.
• Build and maintain data pipelines between Microsoft Fabric and systems of record; manage lineage and ownership.
• Own CI/CD for internal software; manage repos, gates, tests, environments, and production promotions.
• Define guardrails for AI-assisted development: what an agent may generate and what requires review.
• Implement access control: SSO, RBAC, secrets management, and audit trails.
• Run the toolchain with coding agents, evaluation harnesses, and shared libraries.
• Turn deployments into repeatable patterns via IaC and templates.
• Monitor cost, performance, and reliability of workloads; report on all three.
• Partner with IT on network, identity, and endpoint decisions.
