Job summary

Vanguard is seeking an experienced software engineer to build and support the AI-powered experiences team’s conversational AI orchestration platforms and shared AI infrastructure. The role blends hands-on engineering with architecture input and production support for GenAI solutions across Workplace Technology.

The ideal candidate has five+ years in software development, hands-on experience with AWS, Python, and JavaScript/TypeScript, and a track record of delivering enterprise-grade AI

Qualifications

• Demonstrated software engineering experience in enterprise environments.
• Experience with AWS, GitHub-based workflows, deployment pipelines.
• Strong programming skills in Python and JavaScript/TypeScript.
• Ability to work across technical and non-technical stakeholder groups.
• Minimum of five years related work experience, with at least two years of development.
• Undergraduate degree or equivalent combination of training and experience.

Responsibilities

• Design, develop, and implement the team's orchestration platform components.
• Integrate third-party products and model observability tooling.
• Translate specs into code for conversation history, compliance pipelines, and onboarding templates.
• Develop, test, and document code artifacts with automated testing practices.
• Promote code through dev, test, and production environments; provide production support.
• Apply software development standards for agent orchestration and cloud-native services.
• Participate in design, code, and test inspections; communicate with internal clients.
• Understand client business functions and Vanguard technologies and interfaces.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams and document systems issues clearly.
• Comply with IT and information security policies; ensure deliverables meet requirements.
• Contribute to PoC, prototyping, and exploratory AI platform work.
