Job summary

Corebridge Financial in Houston seeks an AI Platform Engineer to design, build, and operate enterprise AI/ML platform capabilities on AWS. You’ll work across cloud, data, AI engineering, and governance to enable secure, scalable AI workloads.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science, Data Science, Engineering, Information Systems, or related technical field.
• 2+ years of relevant experience in cloud engineering, software engineering, data engineering, MLOps, AI/ML engineering, or platform engineering (preferred).
• Hands-on exposure to AI/ML concepts and tools: model training, inference, generative AI, embeddings, vector search, prompt engineering, or MLOps.
• Foundational experience with AWS technologies including IAM, networking, compute, storage, security, and monitoring.
• Exposure to infrastructure-as-code and CI/CD tools (Terraform, AWS CDK, CloudFormation, GitHub Actions).

Responsibilities

• Build and enhance platform services, patterns, and automation for AI/ML model development, deployment, and lifecycle on AWS.
• Develop and support cloud-native solutions for compute, storage, networking, security, observability, data processing, and AI/ML (Bedrock, SageMaker).
• Support generative AI applications, AI agents, APIs, model endpoints, prompts, and retrieval-augmented generation.
• Create IaC, CI/CD pipelines, deployment templates, and self-service capabilities to boost productivity.
• Connect AI/ML workloads to enterprise data platforms, APIs, event streams, and data pipelines with proper access controls.
• Implement platform controls for IAM, secrets, encryption, logging, monitoring, and model governance.
• Provide reliability, monitoring, and operational support for AI/ML services and production workloads.
• Collaborate with data scientists, engineers, security teams, and stakeholders to translate use-cases into scalable solutions.
• Evaluate emerging AI/ML and AWS tech via prototypes and contribute to standards.
