Job summary

Rippling is seeking a Product Design Lead for the AI Platform to shape how AI appears across Rippling’s suite. You will lead across ambiguous, high‑leverage spaces, partnering with product, engineering, and executives to translate AI capabilities into scalable, trustworthy experiences.

You’ll drive interaction design, system patterns, and prototypes, influencing the roadmap and ensuring alignment with customer needs and enterprise workflows.

Qualifications

• 10+ years of product design experience in SaaS, platform, or enterprise products.
• Recent hands‑on design experience shipping AI products or AI features.
• Exceptional systems thinking across architectures, data flows, permissions, and dependencies.
• Track record leading high‑impact cross‑product initiatives as a senior IC or design leader.
• Deep interaction design craft with novel pattern creation and prototyping.
• Strong product judgment with ability to guide roadmaps across teams.
• Excellent executive communication, storytelling, and documentation for senior leaders.
• Technical curiosity with comfort collaborating with engineers on AI systems and model behavior.
• Bias toward shipping, learning, and iterating quickly without sacrificing quality.
• Collaborative leadership building trust across design, product, engineering, GTM, and customer teams.
• Strong point of view on how AI should improve enterprise software while remaining coachable

Responsibilities

• Define and drive the design vision for AI Platform experiences across Rippling.
• Create reusable frameworks for AI interactions, agentic workflows, automation, and transparency.
• Lead large cross‑product design initiatives with many dependencies.
• Partner with AI Platform PMs, engineers, and design leaders to translate AI capabilities into usable experiences.
• Work hands‑on with pods while aligning patterns across the AI Platform roadmap.
• Translate AI behaviors and model capabilities into practical product patterns.
• Create high‑fidelity prototypes and artifacts to align executives and guide bets.
• Raise craft bar by coaching designers and codifying scalable patterns.
• Stay close to customers and competitors to inform long‑term AI strategy.
• Shape enterprise AI that fits real business workflows with accountability and value
