Job summary

Circana is seeking a Forward Deployed Engineer to build agentic systems that reason, plan, and act across data. You will work in small pods with architects and domain experts, delivering end-to-end AI solutions and tooling.

You will own context management, prompt design, plan generation, and tool integration, while shipping robust evaluation and observability around agents. Hybrid Chicago/ NYC options available.

Qualifications

• Track record of building and shipping agentic systems that reached real users.
• Strong Python and tool design fundamentals.
• Experience running agentic workloads on a major cloud platform.

Responsibilities

• Build AI solutions and Agents end to end: graphs, MCP servers, and services behind them, from design through production and iteration.
• Practice working craft of agents: context management, prompt design, plan construction, tool result shaping, and guardrails.
• Build and maintain evaluation sets and regression suites to measure agent improvement; investigate failures down to root cause.
• Work with domain experts to map practitioner questions to capabilities and resolve ambiguity at source.
• Debug from traces: reproduce, isolate, fix, and add tests to prevent recurrence.
• Automate the development loop: turn repetitive work into commands and subagents.
• Move decisions forward with working prototypes.
