Job summary

Physical Superintelligence in Boston offers a 3-6 month, full-time PSI Fellowship for exceptional physicists to push AI-accelerated scientific discovery. You will collaborate on AI-for-physics benchmarks, verification, and interpretability, producing substantive contributions and publishable research where possible.

Ideal candidates hold a Physics PhD (or are advanced PhD candidates), have hands-on AI experience, and can write production-quality Python code.

Qualifications

• PhD in physics or related field; advanced candidate with all but dissertation.
• Hands-on experience with modern AI/ML; built/shipped models or systems.
• Strong Python programming skills and production-ready coding experience.

Responsibilities

• Collaborate with PSI's founding team on high-impact AI-for-physics research.
• Develop projects aligned with expertise (benchmarks, discovery agents, verification, interpretability).
• Contribute to PSI's technical roadmap and publishable research when appropriate.
• Ship working systems using PSI's compute and tooling; potential path to full-time role.
