Job summary

Mercor is seeking experienced News Analysts, Reporters, and Journalists to help evaluate and improve cutting-edge AI systems. In this role, you'll evaluate AI-generated news content and workflows across print and broadcast media.

You will apply your real-world reporting expertise to evaluate accuracy, editorial soundness, and narration, and provide actionable feedback on story selection and source interpretation.

Qualifications

• 4+ years of experience as a Reporter, News Reporter, News Anchor, Staff Writer, Journalist, or another closely related news or journalism role.
• Experience writing, narrating, or analyzing news stories, reviews, or commentary for print, broadcast, or other communications media.
• Ability to commit 20+ hours per week.
• Strong written English communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Evaluate AI-generated news stories, analyses, scripts, and other journalistic artifacts for quality and accuracy.
• Compare AI-generated responses head-to-head based on reporting rigor, editorial soundness, and clarity of narration.
• Review journalistic scenarios involving story selection, source evaluation, fact interpretation, and presentation choices and provide expert feedback.
