Job summary

Google LLC in Mountain View is seeking an Engineering Lead to guide a large-scale AI-native product initiative across teams and sites. You will own architecture, set roadmaps, and mentor engineers while partnering with research and product to deliver low-latency, high-impact solutions.

You will lead cross-functional collaboration, manage a substantial product budget, and oversee deployment across international sites, shaping Google's next-generation media platforms.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree or equivalent practical experience.
• 5 years of experience with design and architecture; testing/launching software products.
• Master’s degree or PhD in Engineering, Computer Science, or a related technical field.
• 3 years of experience in a technical leadership role across a large organization.
• Experience bringing a new product or significant feature-set to market.
• Experience with streaming media, ideally live-streamed video at scale.
• Experience with building or building on top of AI foundation models.
• Strong stakeholder management, alignment, and cross-company partnership skills, with experience developing joint product and engineering roadmaps cross-functionally.

Responsibilities

• Lead engineering teams across multiple sites and guide major projects.
• Own architecture decisions and drive cross-company integration of AI-native product.
• Translate multi-modal technologies into software and mentor staff leads.
• Partner with research and product teams to deliver a seamless, low-latency engine for novel applications.
• Oversee deployment of large-scale projects across multiple sites internationally.
