Job summary

Upside Search is seeking an AI Developer / Software Engineer to design, build, test, and deliver new functionality for a SaaS platform. You will guide AI development tools, evaluate outputs, and ensure quality while owning features end-to-end.

You should be a strong coder at core, comfortable reading code, and capable of solving customer problems with high-quality products in a remote environment. Experience with AI-native software is highly valued.

Qualifications

• Experience applying AI or agentic AI tools to build software.
• Strong foundation in traditional software engineering and hands-on coding.
• Proficiency in TypeScript/JavaScript and cloud deployment (Azure).
• Familiarity with RESTful APIs and database design (NoSQL and SQL).

Responsibilities

• Use agentic AI development tools to build production-ready features.
• Translate requirements into AI workflows and evaluate AI-generated outputs.
• Review, test, and refine AI-generated code for quality and reliability.
• Own features end-to-end from conception to production validation.
• Collaborate with Product Managers and customers to address real needs.
• Provide guidance and mentorship to less-experienced developers.
• Continuously explore new AI tooling and engineering practices.
