Job summary

Snowflake is seeking a Software Engineer for the Dynamic Tables team to design and build next-generation data platform features. You will work with a globally distributed team, tackling complex database problems while delivering reliable, scalable software that meets customer expectations.

You will contribute to performance improvements, shape product direction with seasoned engineers, and translate customer needs into robust technical solutions in a fast-paced, experimental environment.

Qualifications

2+ years in designing and building database internals or data-intensive systems or equivalent research experience.
Strong CS fundamentals: data structures, algorithms, and distributed systems.
Proven track record delivering production software from open questions.
Experience with AI-native software engineering and agentic development workflows.
Prefer mentoring and learning in a collaborative team.
BS in Computer Science or related field.
Strong English communication skills.

Responsibilities

Collaborate with engineers and Product Managers to design and build Dynamic Tables features.
Design, implement, support, and optimize new features and performance improvements.
Contribute to technical and product direction with senior teammates.
Break down ambiguous problems, assess tradeoffs, and decide on solutions.
Analyze performance, correctness, and fault-tolerance challenges at scale.
Investigate unfamiliar areas of a large system to root cause issues.
Ensure operational readiness and reliability of what you build for customers.
Understand customer use of Dynamic Tables to guide development.
