Job summary

Phenom, an AI-powered talent experience platform, is seeking a Product Development Engineer 2 (AI-Native) for an onsite role in Ambler, PA. You will build and own AI-enabled features, design and deploy end-to-end solutions, and mentor junior engineers as part of a small, autonomous team.

Ideal candidates have 3–5 years of software development experience, a BS in a technical field, and strong AI/tooling familiarity. Competitive salary ranges are provided with onsite work expectations.

Qualifications

3–5 years software development or product engineering experience.
Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, Information Technology, or a related technical field; Master's preferred.
Strong engineering fundamentals and critical thinking with AI awareness.
Comfortable across the stack and independent in building AI-enabled solutions.
Customer empathy and ability to engage with customers and understand workflows.
End-to-end ownership and production support.
Experience reviewing code and supporting junior engineers; bonus for AI/agent product experience.

Responsibilities

Build innovative products on the Phenom platform and prototype solutions.
Take complex ideas to production and own features end-to-end.
Lead AI-assisted engineering with agents, prompts, and tool calls.
Own delivery to customers including deployment readiness and production validation.
Support customer bootcamps and enable customers with hands-on sessions.
Ensure guardrails, human approvals for high-risk changes, and auditability.
Contribute to technical design and code reviews, maintain engineering standards.
Mentor junior engineers through design, development, and production ownership.
