Job summary

Alma is an AI-native law firm hiring a Product Engineer to own features end-to-end, from database schema to the React component the user clicks. You'll work with the founding team and early customers to ship a world-class AI-powered product, and help scale the platform by 100x.

We value a deeply customer-obsessed mindset, willingness to own frontend work, and fluency with Python, FastAPI, PostgreSQL, and modern frontend tooling.

Qualifications

• BS/MS in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related technical field.
• Experience with Python, FastAPI, PostgreSQL, and containerization.
• Experience building products from zero to one and shipping end-to-end.
• Experience with AI-enabled development and ML/LLM-backed apps.

Responsibilities

• Work closely with the founding team and early customers to build a world-class AI-powered product.
• Own features end-to-end — architect the backend, build the frontend, and ship to production.
• Partner with design and product to translate user needs into shipped experiences.
• Engage in the full application lifecycle with a high bar for coding, debugging, testing, and deploying.
• Leverage AI tooling to move faster while maintaining quality.
