Job summary

Bitdeer Technologies Group is seeking a Principal Kubernetes Control Plane Engineer to architect the foundational control plane for our AI-native NeoCloud platform. You will build highly available systems to manage thousands of Kubernetes control planes with zero-downtime upgrades and seamless multi-cluster federation.

You will lead development of the chassis that supports AI workloads, ensuring scalable, resilient infrastructure for enterprise-grade demands and tight GPU orchestration

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in CS/EE or related field.
• 8+ years of software engineering experience in distributed systems.
• Extensive Kubernetes ecosystem experience (Operators, API Server, etcd, Cluster API).
• Proven track record operating, debugging, and scaling large-scale distributed systems.
• Deep understanding of multi-tenancy, federation and API governance.

Responsibilities

• Design scalable control plane architectures for thousands of Kubernetes clusters.
• Develop Operators and CRDs to automate lifecycle management.
• Optimize etcd performance across distributed regions.
• Implement secure, multi-tenant isolation at the API server layer.
• Architect zero-downtime upgrades and multi-cluster federation.
• Mentor engineers and uphold high standards of distributed architecture.
