Job summary

OpenRouter, Inc. is seeking an AI enthusiast to manage model launches and provider onboarding, helping bring new models to market and improving provider onboarding processes.

If you love tinkering with AI models and want to develop technical depth, you will work directly with model labs and providers across the AI ecosystem. You’ll lead end-to-end launch playbooks, coordinate with providers, and build internal tools and evals to accelerate onboarding and benchmarking.

Qualifications

• 2–3 years in a startup, solutions engineering, product ops, or similar.
• Experience with TypeScript/JavaScript and/or Python. Git-literate. Bonus: LangChain/LlamaIndex, benchmarking/evals, or basic cloud/observability.
• Ambitious, fast learner with bias to ship and passion for AI and developer experience.
• CS/Engineering degree is a plus, not required with demonstrated technical aptitude.

Responsibilities

• Model Launches & Provider Partnerships: run end-to-end launch playbooks, scope, test plans, latency/quality checks, pricing & quotas, docs and announcement assets.
• Coordinate with model providers to integrate, QA, and hit ship dates.
• Maintain clear versioning and release notes; manage deprecations and migrations.
• Tooling for benchmarks, onboarding and internal operations: build internal tools to speed up onboarding.
• Build internal evals to evaluate models and endpoints quickly.
• Document internal processes and prime them for automation.
