OpenAI is seeking a senior product marketing leader based in San Francisco to shape how our models and research are understood and adopted worldwide. You will partner with frontier research teams to translate capabilities into compelling product strategies, narratives, and customer experiences.

Qualifications

• 12+ years of product marketing experience across AI, developer platforms, or enterprise tech.
• Built and led product marketing teams or functions.
• Can understand sophisticated technical systems and explain them clearly.

Responsibilities

• Define the product marketing strategy for OpenAI’s models, research advances, and API portfolio.
• Embed with Research, Product, and Engineering to understand capabilities and tradeoffs.
• Shape how OpenAI communicates advances to developers, business leaders, and markets.
• Lead launches, positioning, demonstrations, and adoption across model families.
• Guide customers on model selection, API access, privacy, and responsible deployment.
• Incorporate market insights into research and product decisions.
• Partner with Sales, Partnerships, and regional teams on narratives and enablement.
• Collaborate with Communications, Safety, Policy, and Legal for accuracy.
• Build and lead a high-performing product marketing team.
