Job summary

Skyworks Solutions is seeking an AI/ML Summer Intern to join our enterprise AI/ML engineering team. This is a hands-on, full-time engineering role in which you will help design, build, and deploy machine learning solutions that support engineering and business teams across the company.

Working alongside experienced engineers, you will take ownership of small projects end to end - from data gathering and analysis through prototyping, implementation, and documentation - while building practical

Qualifications

• Currently a junior/senior undergraduate or graduate student in CS/DS/Engineering
• Must be able to relocate temporarily to Irvine, CA for May/June to Aug/Sept 2027 (3 months)
• Experience with Python and AI/ML frameworks like PyTorch; understanding AI algorithms
• Proficiency with VS Code or similar IDEs; quick learner of company software like Agentic AI, LangChain, LangGraph, Genie, Databricks, PowerBI

Responsibilities

• Support AI/ML engineering efforts across multiple business units
• Lead small projects end-to-end under supervision, collaborating with stakeholders
• Gather/analyze data to identify AI/ML opportunities and develop solutions
• Develop core use-case code with guidance and gradually work independently
• Document, report, and deliver project results
