Insure Technology is currently partnered with one of our key strategic clients, a national consulting firm and AWS Premier Tier Services Partner, to help them identify an AI/ML Solutions Architect & Thought Leader to join their team on a 100% remote, direct-hire basis as they continue to scale their growing organization and AI/ML practice. This is a strategic advisory role for a seasoned Consultant and Leader who can not only architect complex AI/ML solutions across diverse client environments, but also lead delivery teams with confidence and clarity. And while you wouldn't be expected to have your hands on the keyboard on a regular basis, your ability to dive deep into technical problem-solving and support your team in real time would be highly valuable.

In this role, you’ll act as a key technical leader - shaping and guiding the design, architecture, and delivery of cutting-edge AI/ML solutions for a diverse client base. You’ll work closely with stakeholders and technical teams, serving as both an advisor and hands-on problem-solver who thrives in fast-paced environments with ever-evolving client demands.

This is a critical leadership hire and we’re looking for someone with the maturity, depth, and presence to elevate the team’s capabilities and thought leadership across engagements.

Key Responsibilities

• Serve as the principal architect on AI/ML engagements—translating client needs into scalable, production-ready solutions.
• Collaborate with clients and internal architects to define solution architecture across cloud, data, and AI/ML domains.
• Lead the technical discovery, solution design, and delivery oversight of AI/ML projects across various industries.
• Provide architectural guidance and mentorship to a growing team of developers, data scientists, and junior architects.
• Jump in to troubleshoot or solution technical challenges when needed (no daily development expected, but hands-on capabilities are important).
• Act as a storyteller—able to clearly articulate complex architectures, trade-offs, and design choices to both technical and non-technical audiences.
• Participate in architecture panel interviews and client discussions—demonstrating your ability to go deep on solution details and rationale.
• Adapt quickly to new domains, client verticals, and technologies as projects vary.

Required Qualifications

• 10+ years of experience in solution architecture, software engineering, or applied AI/ML.
• Proven experience designing and delivering enterprise-grade AI/ML systems or data-centric platforms.
• Deep technical knowledge across AWS cloud technologies
• Familiarity with modern AI/ML tooling (e.g., TensorFlow, PyTorch, MLFlow, SageMaker, Azure ML, etc.) and MLOps best practices.
• Experience leading cross-functional teams in a delivery-focused consulting or services environment.
• Exceptional communication and storytelling skills—able to influence clients and stakeholders at all levels.
• Ability to operate across both strategic and tactical layers of a project.
• Comfortable working in ambiguous and fast-changing project contexts.

Preferred Qualifications

• Prior experience in a consulting or client-facing services organization.
• Experience mentoring or coaching less experienced technologists.
• Familiarity with Agile delivery methodologies and working in cross-disciplinary teams.
• Exposure to a range of industry verticals
