Job summary

Tactical Engineering & Analysis, Inc. in Dahlgren, VA is seeking a Software Developer to support the NSWCDD Intelligent Automation Division (H60) for the US Navy, DoW, and interagency partners with autonomous and AI-enabled warfare technologies.

Responsibilities include software design, development, API integration, and agile collaboration, with emphasis on AI/ML and large language models to solve complex problems. A STEM degree and security clearance or eligibility are required.

Qualifications

• Bachelors Degree in STEM or related field; alternatively an approved software certification.
• Strong programming fundamentals and modern software development experience.
• Experience with AI/ML or large language models is highly desirable.

Responsibilities

• Design, develop, and maintain high-quality software solutions for warfare systems.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to understand project needs and implement effective solutions.
• Write clean, efficient, well-documented code and conduct code reviews.
• Analyze and optimize database performance; design schemas and write queries.
• Integrate APIs with secure authentication/authorization; participate in SDLC and Agile ceremonies.
• Mentor junior developers and contribute to a positive team environment.
