Job summary

Amazon Web Services, Inc. in Seattle, WA is seeking a Software Development Engineer to design, develop, test, and deploy distributed ML systems and large‑scale software for a global customer base.

You will tackle complex problems with a strong engineering mindset and contribute to a high‑visibility AI service within AWS. You will work with ML technologies including LLMs, influence team roadmaps, and coach junior engineers while delivering robust, scalable systems.

Qualifications

• 3+ years of non‑internship professional software development experience.
• 2+ years of non‑internship design or architecture (design patterns, reliability and scaling) of new and existing systems.
• Experience programming with at least one software programming language.
• 1+ years of designing and developing large‑scale, multi‑tiered, multi‑threaded, embedded or distributed software applications, tools, systems, and services using C#, C++, Java, or Perl.

Responsibilities

• Design, develop, test, and deploy distributed ML systems and large‑scale software solutions.
• Collaborate with teams to influence roadmaps and define architecture.
• Coach and develop junior engineers and drive best practices for quality products.
