Placements24 is seeking an AI/ML Security Engineer to safeguard secure AI systems in Randburg. You will identify vulnerabilities, implement robust security measures, and design defenses against adversarial AI threats.

The role requires a strong foundation in AI/ML concepts and cybersecurity best practices. You will collaborate with AI/ML engineers and data scientists to embed security into model design, deployment, and monitoring, while staying ahead of emerging threats and maintaining

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Cybersecurity, or a related field; Master’s degree preferred.
• Proven experience in cybersecurity with a focus on AI/ML security, secure software development, or vulnerability assessment.
• Strong understanding of machine learning concepts and AI attack vectors (data poisoning, model inversion, adversarial examples).
• Experience with security tools and techniques for identifying and mitigating vulnerabilities.
• Proficiency in Python.
• Knowledge of cloud security principles and best practices.
• Experience with security frameworks and compliance standards.
• Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and critical thinking skills.
• Strong communication and collaboration skills with technical teams.

Responsibilities

• Identify and mitigate security vulnerabilities in AI/ML models, algorithms, and infrastructure.
• Develop and implement security best practices for the AI/ML development lifecycle.
• Design and deploy security solutions to protect against adversarial attacks on machine learning systems.
• Conduct security assessments, penetration testing, and risk analysis for AI applications.
• Collaborate with AI/ML engineers and data scientists to integrate security considerations into model design and deployment.
• Develop security monitoring and incident response procedures for AI systems.
• Stay current with emerging threats and vulnerabilities in the AI/ML security landscape.
• Create and maintain security documentation and training materials.
• Ensure compliance with relevant security standards and regulations.
