Job summary

The Eliassen Group is seeking an experienced Project Manager to lead AI/ML initiatives across the organization from discovery to production deployment in Irvine, CA. The role blends strong project management with working knowledge of AI, data, cloud platforms, and enterprise tech to align engineering work with business goals.

This contract-to-hire opportunity offers a W2 arrangement with benefits including medical, dental, vision, 401k company match, and life insurance, with a hybrid onsite

Qualifications

• 7+ years of project or program management experience in complex technology initiatives.
• Experience leading AI/ML, Data Science, or analytics programs.
• Strong Agile/ Scrum delivery with Jira or Azure DevOps.
• Ability to translate technical AI/ML concepts to business outcomes.

Responsibilities

• Lead multiple AI and ML projects from discovery through production deployment.
• Develop and manage project plans, milestones, dependencies, risks, budgets, resources, and exec reporting.
• Collaborate with AI/ML engineers, data scientists, data engineers, architects, product owners, cybersecurity, infrastructure and cloud teams, and business stakeholders.
• Facilitate AI use-case definition, requirements gathering, prioritization, and success criteria.
• Advance initiatives from POC to scalable production solutions.
• Coordinate dependencies across data availability, quality, model development, integrations, infrastructure, security, privacy, and business processes.
• Manage Agile delivery ceremonies including backlog management, sprint planning, dependency tracking, risk management, and stakeholder reviews.
• Establish clear KPIs and measurable business outcomes for AI and ML initiatives.
• Track model and solution readiness across development, testing, validation, deployment, and adoption.
• Coordinate third-party technology partners and vendors for AI, ML, cloud, or data initiatives.
• Identify project risks early and drive resolution of blockers.
• Create concise executive reporting covering health, milestones, risks, decisions, dependencies, and business value.
• Help establish repeatable AI and ML project governance and delivery standards.
