Job summary

JPMorgan Chase & Co. is seeking an Applied AI/ML Lead to drive large-scale AI initiatives across Wholesale Lending workflows.

You will analyze complex problems, prototype state-of-the-art models, and collaborate with product, data engineering, and software teams to deliver production-ready AI solutions. You will design experiments, build end-to-end ML pipelines, and help productionize models with a focus on NLP, personalization, and retrieval tasks.

Qualifications

• BS/MS/PhD in CS, DS, Statistics or related field with strong math background.
• 7+ years applying data science and ML to business problems using Python/JVM languages.
• Experience with LLMs and Prompt Engineering.
• 1+ year working with Gen AI/LLMs such as GPT, Claude, Llama.
• Strong NLP, Generative AI, and DL understanding; familiarity with large language models.
• Experience with ML toolkits (Transformers, Hugging Face, TensorFlow, PyTorch, NumPy, Pandas, Scikit-Learn).

Responsibilities

• Lead programs and direct large AI/ML initiatives and shape problem statements and roadmaps.
• Develop state-of-the-art ML models for NLP, personalization, or recommendations and collaborate with business teams.
• Build end-to-end ML/AutoML/AutoNLP pipelines and orchestrate model deployment and integration.
• Create batch and real-time prediction pipelines with frontend integrations.
• Collaborate with stakeholders to design experiments and quantify model performance, explaining results to leaders.
• Partner with Business, Technology, Product, Legal, and Compliance to productionize solutions and influence decisions.
