Job summary

Delta Air Lines seeks an Innovation & AI Engineering Intern to design and develop ML/AI-based products. The role emphasizes real-world applications beyond a typical engineering internship and involves working with stakeholders to shape customer experiences through AI.

You will engage with business units, iterate on models, and present updates to leadership while exploring cutting-edge AI technologies across Delta’s platforms.

Qualifications

• Experience developing ML models using Python and ML frameworks such as TensorFlow or PyTorch.
• Active enrollment in a post-graduate program (M.S., MBA, or Ph.D.) during the internship.
• Understanding of ML best practices including training/serving models, feature engineering, and model selection.

Responsibilities

• Engage with stakeholders to identify problem areas.
• Develop and modify ML models to build robust solutions.
• Collaborate with engineers, strategists, and designers on ML-enabled experiences.
• Present project updates to leaders across business units.
• Explore and apply new AI technologies to Delta’s products and processes.
