Job summary

Lowe's is seeking an AI/ML platform engineer in Charlotte to build and operate scalable data pipelines for forecasting, modeling, and analytics. You will collaborate with data scientists, product and business teams to translate requirements into robust ML solutions that run in production.

Responsibilities include designing end-to-end ML systems, implementing CI/CD for ML workloads, and ensuring security and governance across the development lifecycle.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in CS or related field or equivalent experience.
• 2 years of software development experience.
• 2 years SDLC/agile experience.
• 2 years experience with frontend/middleware/DB/DevOps technologies.

Responsibilities

• Build and maintain scalable data ingestion, transformation, feature engineering, and post-processing pipelines for model training, inference, analytics, and reporting.
• Collaborate with Data Scientists, Product, and Business teams to translate requirements into scalable AI/ML solutions and data pipelines.
• Design, develop, deploy, and maintain end-to-end ML systems including packaging, versioning, deployment, and serving on MLflow, Vertex AI, Kubeflow, etc.
• Build and optimize batch and real-time inference pipelines for performance, scalability, reliability, and cost efficiency across cloud/on-prem environments.
• Implement and maintain CI/CD pipelines and workflow orchestration for AI/ML models and data pipelines following DevOps/MLOps best practices.
• Design monitoring frameworks to track model performance, data quality, drift, and production health.
• Build reusable libraries and platform components to improve engineering productivity and standardize ML development.
• Develop production-quality software components following engineering best practices, ensuring scalability and maintainability.
• Perform root cause analysis, troubleshoot production issues, and participate in code reviews to improve quality.
• Ensure AI/ML solutions comply with security, governance, privacy, and standards throughout the lifecycle.
• Champion engineering best practices to improve reliability, scalability, and efficiency of ML platforms.
