Job summary

Lowe's is seeking a Senior Software Engineer in Charlotte to enhance the core Search Platform spanning digital and store channels. You will design, develop, and operate scalable OpenSearch/Elasticsearch solutions, cloud-native services, and batch/real-time data ingestion pipelines to boost performance and reliability.

You will mentor engineers, participate in architectural reviews, and collaborate across Agile teams to deliver scalable search capabilities and AI-enabled features.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in computer science, CIS, or related field or equivalent years of experience.
• 5 years of software development experience.
• 4 years in frontend, middleware, database, or DevOps, with SDLC and Agile.
• Experience with OpenSearch/Elasticsearch at scale and data pipelines.

Responsibilities

• Design, develop, and operate scalable OpenSearch/Elasticsearch solutions.
• Build cloud-native services and data ingestion pipelines (batch and streaming).
• Implement monitoring, logging, automation, and CI/CD for reliability.
• Participate in architecture reviews and mentor engineers.
• Collaborate across Agile, platform, and product teams to deliver scalable search.
